Self Explanatory

Maybe we should get some tee shirts/polo shirts made with this on them and our badge. I would certainly buy one and wear it with pride. What say you Comms Committee. At the least, it is another way of getting our message out to the general public.
If my memory serves me correctly, the Royal Navy classify anyone who has done 1 day or more is classified as a Veteran!
the problem John is that changing the system involves a helluve a lot of paper work, something this system isnt going to do readily oh and also a lot of money.
In a word, BRILLIANT! New Zealand military veterans deserve explicit recognition in a clear and detailed manner – and what better way to do it by wearing a “WHAT IS A VETERAN?” shirt. Most will know over the past decade RNZNCA wrote bags of letters to appropriate Ministers strongly recommending New Zealand Military Veterans be treated equal to our counterpart [Australia, Canada, America and United Kingdom] brothers and sisters. For reasons only known to our beholder New Zealand veterans presently remain flapping around in ‘slack water’ patiently waiting for the government bureaucrat ‘do nothing brigade’ to pull finger. I understand most of the important Veterans Advisory Board [VAB] recommendations are now not likely to see the light of day until 2025. If this is correct, pure and simple it is a travesty! I would gladly buy a couple of shirts with the RNZNCA logo and wear it with pride! Added to that, I would also be willing to buy a few shirts and present them to the bureaucrat ‘do nothing brigade.’
I’d love to buy one of these t-shirts to wear to the next family pot luck meal, that should p1$$ off a few family members who think I wasted 5.5 years ‘doing nothing’ in a career that is/was not for females!
I agree Marion’s comments in that anyone who believes females serving in the Commonwealth/New Zealand Armed Forces are not as good as males are seriously delusional. Also, those who think otherwise are surely Class One Bigots!
Well put Neil – thank you.
Agree with Marian’s comments, except it wasn’t family it’s the civvies who belong to the RSA as associate members! They have no conception of “Serving your Country”, neither do the politicians, local or otherwise!
Nice shirt but you can’t be classed an official veteran unless you served overseas in a conflict arena, regardless how long you served your country and supported those serving overseas. 😡
You should change your first name to Wayne – First point, whether or not you served overseas in a combat zone was not a matter of choice – you got drafted. Second point, How long do you think you could have served overseas without the support of those behind the lines . . . get a life Wayne Kerr.
I would also wear the T-shirt with pride. The word “Queen” would have to be changed to “King”
Only for those signed on in the last few weeks, Peter. Oh, or those who joined before 1952.
Get some made up as posters to frame and place at the door of the RSAs
