HAUD HOGMANAY
From Neal Catley.
It’s that time of the year where we prepare to say farewell to the old and ring in the new, when we break out the calendar and fix our eyes on 1 January, we dream our dreams, and possibilities seem well within our grasp.
It’s the season when we make resolutions: to lose 10 kilos or, work out at the gym several times a week or, vow to drink modest amounts of ‘jungle juice.’ A few of us might find it easy to fulfill these resolutions but most including myself will struggle in the war between aspiration and reality, battling that worst of enemies—ourselves. And many of us will finally throw up our hands in surrender and return to planet earth.
However, here are a few New Year suggestions that require little effort but promise great rewards.
They are:
* Resolve to smile more,
* Resolve to slow down and enjoy life,
* Resolve to acknowledge others, and;
*. Resolve to say, thank you.
If we all can do that – then, 2022 will be a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!
