| Message: My late father, Leading Writer Ian Stanley Hansen, service no. NZ12971, was in the RNZN from 19 May 1949 to 18 May 1955. He was on HMNZS Kaniere from 19 Jan to 27 Aug 1951 and on HMNZS Black Prince from 16 Jan 1953 to 25 Oct 1954. Did any of your members serve at the same time on the same ships and/or remember Ian? I appreciate they would now be in their late 80s or older, but if any are still alive I would like to ask them about their experiences in the navy with Ian.
