1944 – HMNZS BREEZE

Here are two images from HMNZS Breeze at Tulagi 1944.  There were no names with the images which were sourced from an album in Archives.  Images dated April-May 1944. Thanks to Fred W for the images.

Breeze  T02 (Admiralty T371)  Coastal cargo ship requisitioned 3 March 1942 from Canterbury SS Co. and fitted with sonar and a 4-inch gun. Initially in Wellington, then radar and 2 x 20mm guns fitted and joined 25th M/S Flotilla at Tulagi April 1943 for patrol and escort duties to replace Moa.  Released 10 Nov 1944 and returned to owners 22 May 1945 after refit.
