EW and CA's

A recent amendment to the RNZN Communicators’ Assn Constitution now enables members of the Electronic Warfare and Communication Analyst trades to join our association as Associate Members.
Some of you will remember that originally in the 50’s and 60’s EW’s all came out of the communications trade and were part of the Communications Branch.  Then in the 1980’s some bright spark decided they would become part of the Seaman Branch.  Subsequently in the early 90’s another trade was raised known as Communications Analyst and members were again originally drawn from the Communications Trade.  Membership of this trade was later opened up to members of any trade in a similar fashion to that of Divers and PTI’s.
The new change to the constitution now allows us to welcome members and ex serving members of the Electronic Warfare and Communications Analyst Trades post 1980’s back into the RNZN Communicators’ Assn.
So, if you are aware of any sailors who fit into this category please advise them and welcome them back to the Branch.
