    I remember as a secondary school boy, late 1956/57, before joining the Navy,going fishing in the gulf on the Shenandoah, at sometime it must have been converted to a commercial fishing boat. There was a group of regular fisherman, called the prime porkers, you had to be over 16 stone to be invited. Hand lines were the only fishing apparatus I recall, I regularly caught the bus home with a sugarbag of fish.
