QUIZ FOR SPARKERS

Here is an image which will bring back memories for many an old sparker.  See if you can name of all equipment from left to right by leaving a comment to this post.

Answer – Top left is the 618H Tx and underneath that is the CAS Rx. to the right of the 618H is the 618L Tx. Next to that is a B40 or B41. Underneath that is the MF DF FM12 (FMB). The teleprinter case only is for a Type 12 (Creed). Underneath that is a B40 or B41. On the extreme right is a UHF Set 692 or CUJ.

    All looks the same from an ex bunting tossers perspective. I think there are a couple of B40s ? and a clock.

    Can remember B40’s, the old memory is going a bit, no doubt used and tuned a few of these, also the teleprinter was coming in as I was going out!

    IMHO Both B40D Which fits if the Type 12 is going to be used. What ship?
    Crossover early to late 60’s and quite a weird mix when think about the UHF. 691 was enough for most small ship roles.
