Christmas Message

The Committee would like to wish all Association members and their families a happy Christmas season.  This year appears to have flown by for many people suggesting it has been a busy one, hopefully full of good memories to cherish.   We hope you all have a wonderful New Year and that 2015 is filled with success, good health and much happiness.   Thank you for your on-going support of the Association and we look forward to seeing many of you at the Association’s 2015 Reunion.  Dave Carroll

Following on from this Happy New Year to everyone – may 2015 be a good year for Health & Happiness. Thanks to Committee and Webmaster, the website is both informative and a great means for contact with old friends. I just wish time would slow a little so we can catch up.

I continue to admire and wonder at the commitment that a group of dedicated communicators make towards maintaining the blog and the memorabilia and records of a specialist and dedicated branch of the RNZN. A few of you do so much and I want you to know that a Seaman Boy from 1954 still has the same passion for what you consider to be important as what he had over 60 years ago. The 30th Seaman Boys continue to meet (though with diminishing numbers) every five years. This includes three communicators from that entry, Chris Precey, Eric Dawson and Don Norman (known as Don Kirk). May 2015 bring you all that you deserve and wish for.

And as usual it’s not until people like Mike and Hairy put fingers to keyboard that the rest of us get off our bums and realise just how good this blog is, and how much we owe to the Committee and Blogmaster. Well done, and a happy and prosperous New Year to all. (I agree Mike, Tempus Fugit…..what used to be a month now takes about an hour to pass.)
