  1. George Randell says:

Hi Dave Carrol and the Organising Committee
it is with much regret that Val and I will not be attending this years reunion,
we have decided before we become too weary to enjoy our travels together, to go “AWOL” to Perth WA at the end February to persue our next stage of our lifes journey.
We wish you and all the attendees our best wishes for the upcoming reunion, looking at the names of those attending, it looks like you will have again, a successful reunion.
our very best wishes to all
    George and Val Randell

      Hi George,
I have a photo of you, me and Barry Gilder enjoying a wet in one of the bars in Sembawang when on the Tiddly “T” before Barry disappeared to an establishment not far from the bars (wont mention the stables)
      regards Tiny

      • Tom (Tiny) Johnson says:

        And George,
Be careful in Perth my eldest is a Senior Constable with W.A Police and they are nasty.

        regards Tiny

  2. Dave Carroll says:

Thank you George and Val for your message of support and best wishes, Sorry we won’t get to catchup at the reunion but hopefully we can do so in Perth in the near future. Send us your new email address so we can keep you up to date with association things and keep visiting the Blog. Good luck with the big move and all our best wishes go with you both.

    Dave Carroll

  3. Rod and Dearne says:

Hey George – hope all goes well with the travels. When you get settled let us know where you are in Perth. We are over there quite regularly as we have quite a few relatives over there. Son Josh, Dearne’s sister Nicky and a number of Dearne’s cousins. It would great to catch up on our next visit

    Regards Rod

  4. Jim says:

Would the Committee entertain the idea of changing the baseball caps? The current ones fade and look like Donald Duck’s beak. Any chance of getting caps made the same as the current RNZN ones but with the RNZNCA Logo?

  5. Chuck & Ali Berry says:

    Hey George,
Best of luck with the new venture. I travel to Perth occasionally for work. Drop me your email address/address and next time I’m over the west I’ll give you a yell.
    Regards Chuck & Ali

  6. harvie graham says:

George, all the best mate in Western Australia’s Cape Town. Hope its as much fun as up at Cookies beach Mahiniapua all those years ago

    Cheers Harvs

  7. Martin Frost says:

Blessings to you George, Raewyn and I took the leap in 2008, was going to Perth but ended up coming to Brisbane. It has been great, two of our daughters also came over and settled with their families, have good jobs and one is in the process of buying a home here. Good luck to you – if you get to Brisbane look us up – 49 Parakeet St, Inala, Brisbane – 0432116454.
    Martin & Raewyn Frost

  8. charlie says:

    kia ora, George
Last time we crossed paths was in Hawkes Bay, all the best on your move across the ditch.
    Charlie Chase

  9. Gary (Kips) Kingdon says:

    Dave and Committee,
MRU for this reunion. At best Diane will be recuperating from an operation (or ‘procedure’ I think the medics call it now), at worst she will be still waiting for the op in the first week of April. Either way I will be required to be Duty Carer/driver/gofer as she is on restricted activities before the op and can’t drive etc.
This unforeseen incident is a pity as we had planned to bring her dad (Bill Panting) back to NZ early this year and get him into a home, and take him to one night of the reunion. Everything is on hold now until we get specialist’s report on exactly what they are going to do and the outcomes.
I hope that you and all those attending have a successful and enjoyable reunion. I was looking forward to catching up with many of those attending. Looking at the list there will no doubt be some good dits spun, suitably embellished of course!
May I make a suggestion to the committee and propose that at either the Fri or Sat evening a roll be called of all those who have crossed the bar since the last reunion. I know names are put up on the blog site, but sometimes these get missed by people. Also I think it appropriate for our late Branch members to be specifically acknowledged at the reunion. This could be done as part of the President’s address. Anyway, for consideration.
    Regards,
    Kips Kingdon

  10. Bruce Kenyon says:

Well I have held off for as long as possible to see if there was a way but unfortunately there isn’t this time around —- so MRU and wishing all of you a great time and I hope that those who haven’t been before get as much as a buzz out of going as I did last time …

  11. Brian Edwards says:

    Hi Dave and Organisers,
Sadly Christine and myself will be unable to attend this years reunion. We were both.looking forward to reaquainting with old friends and shipmates. The old girls health has taken a little stumble but we are now looking forward to the next one! All the best for a rousing and Im sure successful reunion.
    Kindest regards
    Pilz

    • harvie graham says:

Sorry u wont be making it Pilz, have really enjoyed catching up with you on the odd Anzac day and also at the Reunions

All the best to Christine and I hope she pulls up fine quickly.
      Harvz

      • Brian Edwards says:

        Hi Harvz,
Must apologise but missed your blog on best wishes. By all accounts the reunion was a great success. Still havent seen or heard of who won the Golf. I suspect someones lips are sealed. All the best and will catch up one day.
        Regards Pilz

  12. Jan Luttrell says:

    Dear All

Apologies, I am also unable to attend this reunion – it conflicts with the RNZN Assn Council Meeting in Palmerston North (just a little too far to hop over for the evening functions). Hopefully I’ll be able to attend in 2015.

Please pass on my best wishes to eveyone. I hope all attendees have a great time catching up.

    Best regards – Jan

  13. RussellGHockley says:

    • Brian Edwards says:

Thanks Russell, heres hoping at the next one! Just saying to Chook Fowler that if and when we sell the farm and move back to NZ they will most probably decide to the hold the next reunion in OZ.
      Regards Pilz
