It would appear to me as the current Ex Communications Golf Champion (winner of Inaugural event in Nelson whenever) that I should organise the next event. I might add it was a win by a substantial amount of stablford points. Anyway when I find out what date the Saturday morning or Sunday ?? is of that weekend will book somewhere probably Waitemata unless any Jaffa’s have entre to somewhere else (for buntings “entre” means “access”) for sparkers “access” means oh never mind. So will get onto that – expressions of interest will be welcome. Just whipped around Waipu this morning warming up already

  2. Bob Ohlson says:

    Dave,
As a sour loser – I will be back !

  3. Russell G Hockley says:

you guys were lucky I didn’t bring my golf game with me. I don’t think I had my own clubs either so beeware! regards to all.

  4. Neil Worthington says:

The way my handicap is going, I could be getting a few shots by then!

  5. Ernie Pope says:

I am creating a newsletter for the South Canterbury branch of the RNZN Association and would like a few more details over and above the dates, such as a contact name or names with email addressess. It would be appreciated.

Okay golfers I need a feel for the numbers for a game on the Saturday morning which is also the ship visit time. If you want to play golf email me at david-w@ihug.co.nz if we only get a few dedicated golfers might try for somewhere a bit challenging but if a few more want to come and have a bash will probably end up at Takapuna or Waitemata though on a Saturday morning on the North Shore we better get in early with a booking. So get organised get committed and let me know. By the way Mr Hockley we all had hired clubs on the Nelson day (typical bunting) maybe Bob O had his own from memory but didnt do him any good. Did I tell you I won a trip to Melbourne for the John Deere Tournaments all expenses paid including booze pity I am old now.

  7. Jim Dell says:

Book NOW! The Poenamo is fully booked and others are going fast.

  8. Jim Dell says:

I would like to add that the two hotels advised on this website that state their prices as PLUS GST means that you have to add 15% on. When I had my own business, it was illegal to advertise retail goods and services as PLUS GST.

Hi Dave Carrol and the Organising Committee
it is with much regret that Val and I will not be attending this years reunion,
We have decided, to go “AWOL” to Perth WA at the end of February to travel, and to persue our next stage in our lifes journey.
We wish you and all the attendees our best wishes for the upcoming reunion, looking at the names of those attending, it looks like you will have again, a successful reunion and golf tournament. (Burgalers and all…)
